Sojourner House offers comprehensive services to victims of domestic violence. Our HELPLINES (658-4334, 765-3232 and 647-1517)
are answered 24 hours per day by advocates trained to offer support, crisis intervention, information about domestic abuse and referrals to helping resources. Callers may choose to remain anonymous, and
we do not use caller ID.
We also offer emergency shelter, court advocacy, one-on-one advocacy, and psycho-educational support groups. Additional programs
include the Rural Community Partnership Project, Elder Safety and Abuse Prevention, WomenCARES (Department of Health sponsored initiative for abused women at risk of HIV), Latina Advocacy, Lesbian
Advocacy and management of the Restraining Order Office at the Garrahy Judicial Complex in Providence. We also offer educational programs and trainings on issues of domestic violence for civic, school,
professional, medical, religious, human service, and law enforcement organizations.
