The Educational Technolgy and Conservation Exchange Program (ETCEP) is a proactive solution for schools nationwide to acquire
free computer technology while saving millions of empty laser and inkjet cartridges from overburdened landfills.
This fundraising program is currently being run locally by two enterprising parents. Underway at Fogarty Elementary for just a
short time, the cartridge collection program has already earned 6 software programs, and they're very close to acquiring a scanner. The program is now expanding to include Ponaganset Middle School.
How it works... You drop off your empty inkjet and/or laserjet cartridges at any of the designated locations. The volunteers
collect the cartridges periodically, send them to ETCEP, and earn points toward software and hardware. When enough points are accumulated, the software or hardware of choice is ordered online.
Drop off places are ... Fogarty Elementary School - Glocester Foster Public Library - Foster Center
Glocester Landfill - Chepachet Glocester Manton Library - Chepachet Harmony Library - Harmony Ponaganset Middle School - Glocester Tommy's Variety - Harmony
Tyler Free Library - Moosup Valley
More drop-off places are in the works, so check back often!
